"Embrace the Belly"

My title says it all. Pregnancy is something I do not know if anyone can say they get used to. Overall I am still so grateful that the toilet has not been my best friend and so far haven't had to many complaints. However, the growing human inside of me thing is still a little hard for me to fully except. We had another doctor appt on Friday and everything is still right on track, this time the baby did cooperate enough to hear the heartbeat. Which was really neat. Still having all kind of cravings which Tyson has been kind enough to assist me in getting at anytime! Had a couple days of swollen gums and many headaches but the rest of my post is what keeps my spirits up no matter how I am feeling even if it is the hundredth time I had to use the bathroom that day.

Conversations that prove why Tyson will be the best Daddy ever.

I say "My pants are so uncomfortable and people keep looking at me like wow she is gaining weight!" Ty Replys: "Tiff... just embrace the Belly!"

Ty asks: "Do you think a baby has ever grown so fast that they get to come out early?" I say: "Sure, I think that is why some babies choose to come before their due dates." Which follows with Tyson whispering: "Grow baby grow I want you to get here!

Next day I text Ty: "I think baby had a huge growth spurt over night, my belly is sore."
He writes back: "Its because of the pep talk I gave her last night."
After I try on three pairs of pants that I swear fit me just last week and I am whining. Ty says: "No way your belly isn't big at all! It needs to get out to here." (Now picture him holding his arms about 2 feet from his body.)

Every phone call at lunch time starts with: "Hows your day going, what's Suzy doing?"
Every night I get home: "How was your day, what's Suzy doing?"

As Tyson is singing at the top of his lungs...."Do you think she can hear me yet?"

Every night when I am laying on the couch after my work out and exhausted!

Ty asks: "Why do you think the baby thinks it is necessary to take all of your energy?"

Saturday afternoon as we are running errands Ty says: "See won't this be fun running around with the baby."

Last and most importantly we have our big ultrasound on October 2nd, so only 3 more weeks! I can not wait and I hope that if Suzy is a boy she will forgive us for calling her a girl for the first 5 months of her life :)

ALL IS WELL!

We had our 12 week appt today and I am happy to report that everything went great! The Doctors intentions were to just hear the heartbeat however, baby had a different plan in mind. She did not want to hold still long enough to catch the sound with the doppler, so doc did an ultrasound. Baby was wiggling around so much you could barely get a glimpse. It was so neat and really makes it feel real now and I know Tyson loved every second of it! So far it seems baby is going to be stubborn like me and energetic like her daddy.

Overall, how I have been feeling has not changed to much but I have had my first sterotypical craving which I think is hilarious. PICKLES! Yep I ate entire bottle (small) in two days, if you even say the word I want one. It cracks me up because I try to sneak them so Tyson doesn't think I am a complete crazy but he seems to catch me everytime I am in the fridge devouring one or two. :)
And as I said in my last post .... the first pictures of baby Anderson to be. The first pic on the left is from 8 weeks when I think it was mainly bloat. Second on the right is from today (almost 12 weeks). Some of my pants are definitely getting tight so I know baby is growing like a weed. Thank you all for you kinds words and sharing your excitement, it really means a lot.
Til next time....

*Try to ignore the glowing white skin.

Biggest Announcement yet.....

Well this might not be that exciting since almost everyone already knows but....I am PREGNANT! About 11 weeks along and it still hasn't hit me yet. We found out on Father's Day and have had a hard time deciding when is the "right" time to tell people. We told our family's the day I found out just because being Father's Day seemed like such a perfect day to tell our parents. Then slowly over the last 7 weeks we have a told a few people here and there. However I feel comfortable letting the world know now.

Tyson could not be more excited and already is being such a daddy, checking on me and the baby everyday! He is so cute and is going to have a very hard time waiting the next 6 months! I have only had one appointment so far and everything went fine. We get to hear the heartbeat on Monday and I can not hardly wait!! Hearing her might actually make it feel real.

Yes we call the fetus a "she" and "her" name for the time being is Suzy. I have a hard time with calling her "it" and Tyson has always had these funny names for our future children so Suzanna or Suzy for short has stuck. Now everyone cross your fingers it is a girl :)

Overall I have been grateful for feeling pretty good at least not puking but still have my rough days or as they can be hours. Exhaustion, headaches, MAJOR bloat and brief periods of nausea have been my not so fun symptoms. Oh and did I mention being tired? Who knew that growing a human could be so so so exhausting. I would sleep 12 hours a day if I could and some weekends have.

My main source of feeling normal is working out and I sure hope the second trimester brings some energy with it to make the GETTING on the treadmill part.... not quite so hard. I am sure I have a ton more to say but I do not want to bore you all with a 3 page first pregancy blog. So I will update you all after our appointment on Monday and maybe post a pic of my already popping baby bump.
Baby Anderson probably looks something like this...

I WILL BEG!!!!

As my last post mentioned, the Relay for Life is very important to me. Due to the economy this year the Relay in a whole is really hurting. Last year we had 40 teams and tons of large sponsors. This year so far we only have 15 teams and maybe 3 sponsors. So I beg of anyone that has a penny or a minute to spare to please help us out. The best and most needed help right now is to start teams. The actual event is soooo much fun and such a honor to be part of! Please if you have any questions on how to participate as little or as much as you want..... talk to me!!

This Saturday the 16th we are having our Yard Sale in the Parking Lot of Furniture Warehouse Clearance Center from 7-2.
(7144 South Redwood Road).
This was a huge money maker for us last year, so Please come by and show your support or drop off any donations.
We sadly ALL will be affected by Cancer at some point in our Life, so please help us find the cure for this horrible disease! We have many other events our teams are doing to raise money and I will post about each one as they come.

Getting off my knees now :)

Relay for Life 2009'

I’m writing this letter/blog to hopefully rally some troops! As many of you know, I’m very involved in an amazing charity called “Relay for Life” in West Jordan. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people from all walks of life will camp out at West Jordan Park on June 26th -27th. We have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment.
Our goals are to:
· Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight. • Remember loved ones lost to the disease. At Relay, people who have walked alongside people battling cancer can grieve and find healing. • Fight Back. We Relay because we have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease.

I’d like to share with you the reason I Relay:
I relay because: In my lifetime, I’d like to see the day we find a cure for cancer!
October of 2007, I lost, a very inspirational friend Amy Greetham to Ewings Sarcoma. Amy was only 22 and lost her battle after almost 2 years of fighting. Since then, I have wanted to carry on her legacy and try to help reach her goal of putting an end to this awful disease. I feel so much sadness for Amy's family and every time I hear that a good friend or family member is diagnosed or has lost someone to cancer. It is the hardest thing to watch anyone, suffer so much due to this disease.

With that said, I’m asking for your help to join our charity in hopes that no one else we love, loses someone special to them, due to cancer. You can be involved as little as or as much as you’d like.

Some ways to help are below:
Start a Team: Team Captains and Team Members are the "foot-soldiers" in the fight against cancer. Team Captains lead their team by representing them at monthly update meetings and are the liaisons between the Event Committee and your team. Team Captains organize the team's participation in activities before and throughout the night of the event. The teams also set up activities and booths to sell goods to the public to raise funds.
Recruit Survivors: If you know of a survivor that you think should be honored, please give me their contact info. as we would love to honor them.
Corporate Sponsorship: Have some pull in your company or think the company you work for would be interested in donating for a tax write off? We advertise very heavily to the huge crowd we draw and allow companies to set up a booth to sell goods at the relay if they’d like.
Youth Involvement: Start a team of children to camp out for the night and be a part of this fun event. Involve their schools to help raise money. Ask me how….
Purchase/Sell Luminarias: During the event, we honor our loved ones with the luminaria ceremony. The luminaria bags are $5 and are usually decorated to honor someone who has either beat, is beating or has passed away from cancer. If you’d like some, let me know and I’ll either deliver them or mail them to you.
Become a Committee Member/Volunteer: We have a couple positions still available if you’d like to be involved individually. A committee member has a specific role, where as a volunteer helps the day of. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll get you added to our google group!
Donate Yard Sale Items: We are having a yard sale the morning of May 16th in the southwest parking lot of Furniture Warehouse 7144 So. and Redwood Road. If you have anything you’d like to donate, let me know and we’ll arrange to have it picked up. (No clothes please.) All proceeds go to the charity.
Pass Along This E-mail! Send this to anyone you think would be interested.

Thanks for your support! For more information about the Relay, visit

Feeling Nostalgic

This month we will be celebrating 4 years since we were married and moved in to our house, which for some reason has made me feel very Nostalgic. Life moves so fast and sometimes I wonder where the time went. I recently came across some old pics on a CD so I thought I would share.

A couple of our Engagement pictures we took in Feb 05.

Look how young our little sisters look. Now they both are married! Sweet Alexis, only 4 years old, trying on dresses to be my flower girl. She has grown up so fast it almost makes me want to cry.....

Our house in the building process and now. This time in my life being engaged, getting married and building a house was so exciting and full of so many changes. It almost does not seem real that it was four years ago.

So much has happend between then and now, all 5 of our siblings were married, my brother welcomed 2 more daughters, sadly lost 2 granfathers, got a dog, lost a dog, and went on 3 amazing vacations.

Ty and I dated for 4 years before we were married and now hitting 4 years married makes me feel like we are moving to the next phase, what that will bring I am not sure, but can not wait to find out....... And can only hope the future brings as many great memories!
