Boy oh' Boy, the wait is over!

First of all we are very happy to report that our child will not be needing early childhood therapy quite yet....She is all GIRL!! Our appt was last Friday and we were both extremely anxious and excited all week to find out the news. The ultrasound tech spent about 20 minutes with us just checking Suzy's size and everything was perfect. I was 19 weeks and 1 day yet her head and belly measured at about 18 weeks 3 days. Not enough difference to change the due date so her expected arrival date is still February 25th. After about 25 minutes the tech still had not given us the news we really were waiting for and I was starting to panic that Suzy wanted her gender left a mystery. She said she was tucked up in the tightest little ball very very low in my belly. We learned that they do this when it is cold. (which I thought was very interesting since I felt my pants get noticeably tighter just as the temperature dropped last week!) Luckily the tech said the doctor usually has tricks to get the babies to spread their legs. Thank goodness he came right in and was able to see the empty space between her legs and very non-chalantly said "I would say it is a girl". Soon as I heard these very sweet words I was screaming inside with excitement, smiling ear from ear and trying to hold back my tears. I looked over at Ty and he was also grinning and holding back a tear, making a moment I can not wait to share with my baby girl one day. We had my monthly appt right after and all we wanted to do was call and tell everyone the news. I hurried and snuck in a call to my sister just so I would not explode and she was just as excited and emotional as us. Right after my appt we headed to Old Navy and bought the cutest outfit ever just to celebrate. I can not even express how excited we both are to start our family with a little girl. - Bring on the bows and way to much shopping!!

So far the second tri-mester has been as good as everyone says. I have a little harder time getting comfortable at night and my pants were starting to irritate Suzy's growing room. However, we fixed both problems this weekend by Tyson surprising me with a Boppy body pillow and finally breaking down and buying some maternity pants. Hopefully things stay as good for Suzy and me for the months to come! Here is a couple pics of the baby bump and Suzy's first outfit. Today marks halfway....Yeah!
